Session 1:

We get going with an introduction which should reassure you about what to expect (its not scary!) Then a play with some of the media we can use, followed by some fun shading.

Session 2

In session 2 we are carrying on with the all important shading - developing our skills with some simple shapes and objects

Session 3

We are moving shading on, by looking at the effects of trasparency and opacity, and different media

Session 4

In this session we are starting to find ways to draw the outlines, to which we add our shading. Identifying shapes is a really helpful way to do this

Session 5

In this session we are going to take our shape finding skillls further, and draw some flowers. We then go on to try those drawings in some different media

Session 6

In this session, we are looking at various tools we can use to help us with our drawing, and then trying them out

Session 7

This session introduces drawing on some different substrates. And we have our first try and at both finding an outline, and shading

Session 8

Now we have produced our first complete drawing, we are going on to draw William Morris' house. It looks hard, but follow through and you will see its not so bad at all

Then we are making some papers so we can try collage drawing

Session 9

This session we are using our prepared papers and creating collages of the red house

Session 10

Caryying on our experioments, we are going to draw a Buddha head, and a simple still life. Both are very do-able, just apply what youve learnt and don't panic! You will surprise yourself

Session 11

In this session we are taking a look at 8 ways books - great aids for drawing. And then doing our first drawing from life - a pot of agapanthus

In our final session we take a look at using imagery to create designs rather than whole drawings. And then fiunsih with drawing a landscape - sort of from life!
